Pharaoh's dream

In the Old Testament we meet Pharaoh who had a dream of seven hardy cattle, after which seven hungry cattle came to eat them. In the second dream, seven stalks of plump grain were seen, after which seven stalks of malnourished grain came and ate the plump grain. As an idiom, Pharaoh's dream signifies the inability to interpret a dream.

Example: Pharaoh's dream happens to most people.


Joseph is found in the Old Testament and he refers as an idiom to being a successful dream interpreter, a person with moral qualms, and a person who meets fortune and position after a period of hardship.

Example: Regarding dreams, Freud was a Joseph.

There are at least few people in the world who are Josephs.

If a Joseph happens to me, I'm in luck.

Dash Dash Dash Person

A dash dash person comes from the Malayalam language and it means a vulgar and contemptible person.

Example: He is a dash dash dash person.


Rebecca's story can be found in the Old Testament. She was Jacob's wife and she overheard Jacob's conversation telling Esau the eldest son to go and get some good game so that he could satisfy and bless him. Rebecca loved Isaac the younger son more. And she asked him to go get a young goat and cooked it and covered Jacob's hands with goat hair because his father was blind. Jacob ate pleasantly and blessed Isaac. As an idiom, Rebecca means a conspiracy.

Example: The $ 1 bill has symbols that indicate a Rebecca.

Cults like the Illuminati, Masons and Bilderberger are Rebeccas of society.

I am a lover of Rebecca.

Black hole

We all know that a black hole is a collapsed remnant of a star. It is so dense that even light is sucked into it. As an idiom, it means a depressing situation to which there is no escape.

Example: I don't want a black hole to happen to me.

Jews had a black hole from a time under Nazi rule.

Lot's daughter

Well, all of them know the story of Lot found in the Old Testament. Lot was Abraham's nephew. There is an incident where Lot's daughters get drunk and sleep with him to have offspring. As an idiom, Lot's daughter means incest.

Example: Lot's daughter is a taboo in contemporary society.

Lot's daughter rarely appears in society.


Pond is an idiom in Malayalam and it means to spoil things.

Example: don't make it into a pond.

Some people still make ponds.


Work too is a Malayalam idiom and it means a situation where things don't work out well.

Example: my computer gives me work.

The car even after being repaired gives work.


Quarks are tiny tiny particles that form the building blocks of matter. As an idiom Quarks means: a trifle.

Example: Don't disturb your mind with the Quarks.

I treated my job denial in Cambodia like a Quark.


Light is made up of waves and particles called wavy lines. A Wavicle as an idiom means a surprising and lucky event.

Example: When will a Wavicle arrive to me?

I'll be happy if a Wavicle happens to me.
