There has been a considerable amount of negotiation between the Obama administration and the unions. He often changed his methodology and the implementation of his signature ObamaCare plan when negotiating with these unions. He also negotiated with unions and creditors, giving unions what they wanted in business to support him politically for a second term. With unions knowing that they are so strong in the political process, this will surely give way in the future of; tax unions.
What is a fiscal union? This is a group of people collectively negotiating for lower taxes and a better deal. They would do this in the same vein as a corporation when it promises to create jobs in a region of economic development, all within the framework of trade for lower taxes in the future. A tax union carries a lot of clout, consider if you want a large group of people refusing to work, promising to stay on public pay and not find jobs unless they are guaranteed a reduction in pay. taxes if they decide to work. What will the government do with such intransigent negotiating tactics? Is the federal government going to give in or will it crack down?
A Supreme Court judge once said that "it is the responsibility of every individual to pay the least amount of tax". Well, if these people come together and we allow collective bargaining in our great country, we will see the formation of tax unions. This will of course bother others who have to pay different levels of taxation, at different percentages than others. This would equate to the 1% of having to pay more money than everyone else as a percentage of their earned income.
Right now the bottom 50% of our population does not pay income tax, and they negotiated that by voting for politicians who promise not to tax the poor. At some point in the middle class, what's left of it, the good, hard-working men and women will get worked up and start forming their own coalitions. They will have more power, more numbers, and a lot of pent up energy behind them. The federal government does not understand that it cannot have it both ways.
It can allow unions to force companies to comply, or get large employers to adhere to ObamaCare's mandate, unless it maintains equality in the law for all, which would involve letting go of hypocrisy in Washington DC and making sure every government agency regardless of size; municipal, county, state, or federal also follows ObamaCare's mandate.
Some might say that the coming era of forming tax unions to collectively bargain federal taxes can never happen. Of course it is possible. Indeed, I hope you will give it all a good thought and give it some thought.
